Projekt Flaming Cocks vznikl v roce 2003 a je
seskupením pěti hudebníků z pražských kapel – Vertigo (ska), 2v1 (ska-punk),
Drunken‘ Boomerang (ska), Bad Tones (psychobilly) a Dreadrot (HC).
Rozmanitost stylů, ze kterých jednotliví hudebníci vycházejí a vliv
kapel jako jsou Misfits, Ramones, Mötorhead, Turbonegro, Mad Sin,
nebo Elvise Presleyho se podepsaly na stylu, který kapela hraje.
Našla si pro něj příznačný název: Turbo Rock’n’Roll. Mísí se zde
punková hravost a hard-corová údernost. Obojí je pak zahaleno do
Rock’n’Rollového hávu, jehož atmosféru podtrhuje klasický kontrabas
a sborové vokály.
Kapela odehrála hrála na festivalech jako jsou Rock For People nebo
Mighty Sounds. Několikrát hrála také za hranicemi. Za svůj největší
úspěch považuje předskakování americké legendě The Misfits v roce
2004 v Praze.
V roce 2004 natočila kapela své první demo. Oficiální CD vyjde na
jaře 2006 na labelu Cecek records.

Flaming Cocks was at
the begging a side project of five musicians from Prague but it has
slowly become their main activity. The members come from different
backgrounds, from different bands: Vertigo (ska), 2v1 (ska-punk),
Drunken‘ Boomerang (ska), Bad Tones (psychobilly) and Dreadrot (HC),
but there’s one thing they all have in common and that’s their
passion for Rock’n’Roll! Influenced by bands like The Misfits,
Turbonegro, Mötorhead, Mad Sin, The Peacocks but also by Elvis
Presley and many others they’ve created their own version of punk,
rock’n’roll, hardrock and hard core. Flaming Cocks play Turbo
Rock’n’Roll! Their music is a mixture of punk playfulness and hard-core
attack. All is wrapped up in a rock’n’roll veil. Slapping bass,
melodic singalongs, hard guitars and attacking percussions are
rushing ahead like a steam locomotive. Crazy drive!
Flaming Cocks were formed in 2002 and have already played over 100
of gigs and have appeared on big summer festivals in Czech Republic
such as Rock For People or Mighty Sounds. Their biggest achievement
so far is supporting The Mifsits in Prague in 2004. In spring 2006
